What to expect when traveling to Siem Reap

Two weeks ago my wife and I embarked on a trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia, so I've decided to list down a few things that can help you prepare for somethings you may not have thought of before hand.

Logistics:

I personally would not recommend going there without booking a hotel ahead of time. There are droves of tourists that arrive daily from all corners of the globe and chances are, all the decent hotels are up to their necks in visitors.

Celebrating "Undas" in The Philippines

Derived from the Mexican tradition Dia De Los Muertos, the Pinoy version called Undas is every bit as colorful as its predecessor. On November 1st of every year droves of people make their pilgrimage to cemeteries to pay tribute and pray for the souls of their dearly departed. It might sound a bit dreary but the way it's celebrated may vary perhaps depending on how recent the loss was.
