When traveling to Hong Kong don't forget to secure an Octopus Card available right there at the airport. This is an "all access" prepaid card that can be used for purchasing small ticket items throughout the city but for a tourist it comes in especially handy when buzzing back and forth on a bus or the subway.
Simply swipe the card through the slot and you're all set, it'll surely save you from the hassle of counting change after every transaction. For a 3-4 day stay I recommend loading it up with 400-500 HKD, that should be more than enough credits to get you to all the places you'd like visit. Chances are, you'll even end up a couple of bucks left in there, which you can convert back to cash soon as you surrender the card at the airport.
